Holy Island is about 8 miles by 3.5 miles, with 25 miles of coastal paths and cliffs, much in an Area of Natural Beauty, and a designated Heritage Coast. As you can see from the view above of our favourite cove, it is an ideal place to spend your retirement.

Jan has spent all her working life in Sales and Marketing, and after spending a year in her dream job as Tourism & Heritage Officer for Holy Island, Anglesey, has spent the past year and a half building her home based business. By contrast I have spent all my working life in the corporate world, and I was the Finance Director / Operations Manager of a cutting edge IT Company in Liverpool for four years, before taking semi-retirement in 2004. Since then I have worked with a number of clients on the island both corporate, and voluntary organizations, and helped Jan with the boring side of her business :-).

From 1999 to 2003 Jan and I built the ONE VISION Virtual Community - a network of people from all faiths and backgrounds who came together to break down the barriers of fear and ignorance which separate us. We worked with a number of authors, including Neale Donald Walsh, and established the CWG UK & Eire Network, and in 2003 we were asked by Neale to be the first co-ordinators for Humanities Team in the U.K. and Eire. During this time we travelled around the U.K. giving talks, hosting workshops and Empowerment Weekends, and taking our CWG stand to many Mind Body Spirit Fairs around the North West of England.

Holy Island isn't exactly the epicentre of the Universe, and so in 2004 we attended our last Mind Body Spirit Fair, and "hung up our boots". And there the story might have ended, with Jan and I walking off hand in hand, to enjoy the spectacular sunsets at South Stack.

In October 2008, we both felt increasingly that idyllic as life on our island was, it quite simply wasn't enough. To be honest I couldn't bear the thought of reaching 70, looking back, and realising that we had merely survived. I wanted to look back and feel that we had made a significant contribution, that our lives had actually made a difference.

We are great believers in the Law of Attraction, and so we placed our order for a new challenge, which would give us the opportunity we were seeking. Just days later the Universe obliged. A series of quite amazing synchronicities put us in contact with Wikaniko, and within 24 hours we had become a distributor.

We are now able to buy top quality eco friendly products at discount prices, and use the resources on the Wikaniko site to make informed choices. By redirecting some of our household spending, we can make a real tangible difference, and actually save money. Finding out just how many of the products we use every day are not only harmful to the planet, but also harmful to us and our families came as quite an eyeopener.

So, having checked the obituaries, and found out that we weren't included, we are forced to conclude that our mission on Earth is not finished just yet !
